Submission Policy

Products submitted to BetterWindowsSoftware can be intended for general audiences as well as 18+ (mature content). At the time a new listing is submitted, an answer must be provided for the Should your listing be considered "Restricted to Adults". If you need to update an existing listing's rating, you can simply use the "Issue Report" link from that listing to notify us of the change.

While we filter our content based on the "Restricted to Adults" rating, we trust the end-user to honestly provide their age using an age verification system. Given the possibility that any child simply lies about their age, we reserve the right to remove any content and ban it - based on how much "over the line" the listing is; after all - we are a business that mostly caters to a young crowd.

No virus, spyware, adware or any malware submissions

Listings will automatically be removed that contain any of the following: adware, spyware, viruses, tracking cookies, browser exploits, as well as any others that cause users to have less fun on their computer rather than more. Furthermore, unless there are obvious dependencies on third-party software (example: print driver, viewer), any software that requires installation of third-party software will be removed. Please do not submit any software like this to our site.

No new listings will be allowed if any one of your URL values is hosted on a blacklisted domain according to whois or McAfee SiteAdvisor.

"Browser helpers" and other toolbars are not accepted to be listed here... this site is for software, not toolbar feeds.

Furthermore, only submissions from the original source are allowed; all other submissions or copies of existing submissions will not be accepted or deleted without warning - again with no appeal. We will block ALL future submissions from any domain that violates this policy; go ahead and buy another domain - and we'll block that one as well.

Finally, the webmaster may remove links to any software deemed inappropriate for listing on the BetterWindowsSoftware site for any other reason due entirely to our own discretion.

This site requires PAD file format version 1.1 or later. PADGen version 1.2 or later supports this format.
