How does it work and what does it do?
Simply enter the IP address of your switch and its SNMP read community in the
fields and press the Retrieve Table button to get the list. If it fails you will
be told.
Fdbget.exe is a little tool to retrieve entries from the forwarding database
of switches. It gives you a table of MAC to interface number. If you are
looking for a specific MAC on a switch then simply enter the MAC or part of it
into the search field (without regular expressions).
The table results and search results are exported to separate files.

How does it work and what does it do?

Generate a file with a list of devices that you want to monitor. Each line
in that file must follow the format given in the example file '
example_devices.txt':
<IP address>;<Interface number>;<bandwidth>;<SNMP comunity>;<description>.
Do not use more than 10 lines.

Start MIW and open your device file. You will see that a number of graphs
have changed their colour, they are now activated with your information.
Click on 'Start polling' to start the monitoring. The

Options
There are two places to change options: either by clicking on 'Show more'
which expands the GUI to show polling intervall and other options or you
select ToolsOptions from the menu to change graph behaviour.
All of the options are self explanatory like 'stay on top' and polling intervall.
If not, just try them out.

Paessler Netflow Tester dumps the data of all Netflow packets that a computer receives from a Cisco router. This can be useful when debugging bandwidth monitoring configurations based on Cisco's Netflow protocol. First the Netflow protocol must be enabled and configured on the router. Then the router must be given the IP address of the computer running Netflow tester so that the UDP data packets with Netflow data are sent to that computer.

Just follow these simple instructions:

1) Download Paessler Netflow Tester and then start netflowtest.exe

2) Enter the IP and port number that you have configured as netflow packet target in your Cisco Router. Usually selecting "any IP" should work, in some cases the IP must be explicitly selected.

3) Enable "Start Netflow Collector".

4) You should now see a line in the logfile for each packet the computer receives. Each line shows the time, netflow version, number of flows and the IP of a packet (note: You need netflow version 5 for PRTG Traffic Grapher!)

5) Enable "Show Flow Data" to also show the corresponding flow data.

6) If you do not see any activity then the system does not receive any netflow data (e.g. due to misconfiguration of the router or a firewall blocking the packets, etc.)

Hardware sensors monitor utilizes sensor chips on smart motherboards to track
system and CPU temperatures, voltages and cooling fans.

By quickly catching an overheated computer, you can prevent disasters such
as system instability or damage. The program is resource friendly, resides

Once it has detected an overheating state, Hmonitor can perform a number of tasks.

From the settings dialog, Hmonitor enables you to set "yellow zone" and "red
zone" temperatures for the motherboard and CPU. You can also set minimum fan RPM
before a warning is issued. In addition, nominal values and thresholds can be adjusted
for voltage parameters.

With Paessler SNMP Tester you can run simple SNMP requests against a device in your network. During the test each single step of the SNMP request is logged into a logfile for analysis. The idea of this free program is to debug SNMP requests down to the protocol level in order to find communication and/or data problems in SNMP monitoring configurations.

Just follow these simple instructions:

1) Download Paessler SNMP Tester and run the snmptest.exe file.

2) Enter the IP address of your device and select the SNMP port and the SNMP community string.

3) Select a request type:
(a) MIB2 Interface: Reads the traffic counter of a port according to the MIB2 OID
(b) Custom OID: Enter a custom OID value to access any OID value on the device
(c) Device Uptime: Reads the standard system uptime value from the device

4) It may be necessary to select a specific local IP for the SNMP request (usually only necessary for multi homed systems)

5) Click on "Run Test" to start the testing process.

6) During the test you will find detailed information in the logfile window.

SNMP Test for routers is a tool that queries and monitors SNMP-compatible devices but it is especially designed to test SNMP router compatibility. The first part of the test queries the system name and system description strings, the forwarding flag and enumerates all the exposed interfaces. The 2nd part of the test monitors SNMP traps from the device (your system must be configured to receive traps from the device). While the monitoring is running, trigger some events e.g. connection and disconnection of the Internet line and see if those events are reported in the application.

What does it do and how does it work?
Inftraf is a tool that requests IN/OUT octet data (MIB2) from SNMP-capable
network interfaces. You can use this program in a professional network
environment to monitor selected network interfaces (even backplane ports
if the device provides the information) or you can monitor your home network
or cable/modem/ISDN connection to the internet. You can monitor bits/sec,
utilization and accumulated traffic.

Enter IP address and SNMP read community into the fields and click on FIRST
CONTACT. The program will then try to retrieve all interface information of
the device. If successful, this will enable the START POLLING button. Select
a polling interval and an interface and start polling.
Values in graph are calculated and shown as either bits or bytes per second
or utilization in percent. Just select the appropriate graph.
Error messages are shown in the statusbar at the bottom.
Other functions provided:
- Show device information
- Reset all values and graphs
- Options dialog
- Two log variations: normal log also shown in GUI and a debug log that shows
all polling information that was retrieved. Both can be written to files.
