General information
wodDHCPServer is a DHCP server component (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), available as COM object and ActiveX control. It provides a framework for passing configuration information to hosts on TCP/IP network. wodDHCPServer implements protocol specific infrastructure, allowing you to allocate IP addresses from your address pool, and provide it to requesting clients by your rules. It is configurable by set of objects and events where you can add your code to control component's behavior.


How does it work?
As described in RFC2131, when clients connect to the network for the first time, they will Announce themselves to the network, waiting for all DHCP servers on the network to send their Offers for possible IP addresses (and other network parameters). Once they receive this information, clients can choose among received offers, and Request the IP address from your server. At any point, based on your decisions, you can Accept client's requests, or just Deny them. At all times, you should keep a database of your address pool, allocations and released done by your server.

Each request received from the client gets unique Session object, where session specific data is stored. You will find here client's MAC address (usually your choices will be based on this information), and setup network parameters directly by populating this object information (Hostname, Gateway...).

wodDHCPServer can be used from any programming language that supports COM or ActiveX controls. You will find provided samples in VB and VC, but you could also use it in .NET framework, and other languages such as FoxPro.

Linspect Commander is a software utility for Windows. It allows you to execute commands on remote Linux or Unix servers over an SSH-secured connection without logging in and running the commands manually. Linspect Commander can be useful for system administrators and programmers who often need to restart various server-side components (servers, daemons or other running programs) in order to do the development/debugging. This remote control applet is designed to be used with "Lansonic" Digital Audio Servers. The Lansonic DAS was a stereo component sold sometime around 2000-2003. The company's website appears to be gone, so I assume they are not manufactured anymore. This remote control sits in your windows system tray and let's you control the lansonic -- play, next, prev, etc, and see what song is currently playing. The remote control applet that came with my lansonic stopped working shortly after the company's website disappeared, and that's what prompted me to write this little system tray tool. It should work with all models of lansonic digital audio servers: the DAS-750, DAS-950, etc. This program requires the Lansonic DAS hardware -- if you don't have the hardware, the remote control is of no use to you. This software is free for noncommercial use, and has no spyware, no adware, no expiration, and no hassles whatsoever.

Linspect Editor is a freeware text editor for Windows. It allows you to open files from remote Linux or Unix servers over an SSH-secured connection, change/update the files and write it back to the server. Linspect Editor is a must for system administrators and programmers who often need to edit server-side configuration files, system scripts, batch files, source code, CGI scripts and common text files residing on remote Linux/Unix servers. Before the Linspect Editor was around, usual way of editing remote files was to login to a Unix/Linux machine and edit the file using a text editor (e.g. vi). If you wanted to transfer a text file (e.g. a CGI or a system script) to a different machine, you needed to use various file transfer utilies (many of them being insecure). Now that the Linspect Editor is here, you need nothing else. Just run it, connect to a server, browse through the server file system, open a file (file is downloaded to Linspect Editor over SSH), change the file and save it either locally, or back to the server (or to any other server). You can also open/edit/save local files, and save them to remote servers as well. Linspect Editor does Unix<->Windows CR/LF format conversion for you. With Linspect Editor you can e.g. connect to a Linux machine (using a secure SSH1 or SSH2 connection), browse through the server file system, open a script (the script will open in Linspect Editor on your Windows machine and the connection to the server is closed), then you can edit the file, connect to a different Linux/Unix machine, browse to a desired directory and save the script there. Linspect Editor does not keep the connection open. It connects to a server just if you are opening or saving a remote file. You can also save files locally (on your Windows machine). Linspect Editor is the easiest and the fastest way of editing server-side text files on your Windows machine.

The NTP Time Server Monitor software allows the user to control and configure the NTP service for Windows with a userfriendly graphical user interface. Additionally it eases the handling with the NTP service. Here is a small list of the abilities and features this tool offers: - Switch easily between different configuration (ntp.conf files). This is perfectly usable if different configuration must be tested, or to switch between testing and operating mode.- Change the service settings without the need to open the device manager each time. - Extract the NTP related application log entries and display them separately in a table.
