The points below gives you a brief overview of the SQL Drill Excel Add-in.

Easy to import data to Excel from SQL Server, MYSQL, Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft Access, FireBird, DB2, Excel Workbooks etc. SQL Drill works with any ODBC compatible data source. Use the add-in to quickly import data and then use Excel's power to analyse it in more detail if needed.

Add-in user interface is implemented via a small toolbar which will be added to your excel. The toolbar wont take up too much space in Excel and you can move it to where you want it. A new feature in this release is the Connection Profile Combobox. So it is possible to select a connection directly from the toolbar and hit the [SQL] button and you will connect to the database and view the available selectable objects in the main SQL Drill Form. If you hit the [SQL] button with the default entry [SQL Drill Toolbar] you will load the main Form without any connection being opened (use this when you want to set up some new or manage existing connection profiles).

Easy to build complex queries using the visual interface. SQL Drill implements two way query building so you can (i) build queries visually by dragging/clicking and (ii) build queries by manually typing in the SELECT statement. Java classes you can use standalone or embed in your own programs to
Read, write, align and pack comma, tab and semicolon-
separated variable files, commonly known as CSV files.

It consists of a four Java classes CSVReader CSVWriter,
CSVAlign and CSVPack for reading and writing CSV (Comma
Separated Value) formatted files. Also handles
tab-separated and semicolon-separated files. This is the
format use by Microsoft Word and other Microsoft products.
This version now supports # embedded comments.

You can configure the separator, quote and comment characters.

Note that CSV files are perhaps 10 times slower to process
than binary files. They are for data interchange with other
languages or when human-readibility or editability is
important. If you want speed, use binary format files, e.g.
DataInputStream or possibly the convenient but slower
ObjectInputStream.

CSVAlign aligns the fields in columns for easier
proofreading.

Data Gatherer is completely user configurable data collection software (no software developer experience required), allowing a mobile workforce to collect data using their Windows Mobile 5 or later devices and to return that data to a central location. Data Gatherer is made up of two components, the desktop application and the mobile application.

The desktop application is used to generate template forms and to manage the data. From these templates jobs can be created and completed in the desktop environment. Alternatively the jobs can be uploaded (via ActiveSync) to the Windows Mobile device, where the Windows Mobile operator can complete the data entry for the job, once complete the data can be uploaded back to the desktop environment via ActiveSync. If a template is uploaded to the Windows Mobile device then the Windows Mobile user will be able to generate their own jobs from those templates.

The desktop can store the data in any of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL Compact databases.

Type of questions supported by the software are: GPS data collection, Signature Collection, Pictures, Drop Down Lists, Free Text, Checkboxes, Dependencies (questions only appearing when specified Drop Down Lists have certain values).

Remote synchronization of data can be provided on request using a Webservice.

JScan is tool for converting and viewing images; specifically, document images. A document image is an image (or picture) of a paper document such as that produced from a scanner or a fax machine. The difference between a document image and a regular image is that with the help of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), the text, as well as the document's formatting, can be read and stored within the image file. Those image files supported by JScan include the well-established TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) with the file extension *.tif; and the Microsoft Document Image Format, also known as a Microsoft Office Document Image (MODI), with the file extension *.mdi, introduced with Office 2003. JScan was designed primarily for using the MODI format and working in conjunction with the Microsoft Office tools.
